Miss Lily Morris is our PSA

What is a Parent Support Advisor?

The Parent Support Advisor offers confidential and non-judgemental support and advice to parents/carers of children who attend our school. They may have specific concerns or worries about their child, or just need someone to talk to.

What could a PSA help me with?

The PSA is here to offer support in a range of situations, such as:

  • school transition, if your child is moving to a new school or has moved from a different school
  • wanting advice and support with your child’s behaviour at home
  • your child not wanting to attend school or attendance difficulties
  • support for parents/ carers through times of significant change
  • sign-posting to local agencies/services
  • opportunities to meet with other parents
  • providing an impartial link between home and school
  • any other issue you may have relating to your child with which you would like support.

How do PSAs support parents/carers?

Parent Support Advisors give support to families in many different ways including:

  • One-to-one family support
  • Sign-posting to local services
  • Speaking on your behalf
  • Referring to parenting courses
  • Referring to Family and Adult Learning courses
  •

Parenting is not an easy job and sometimes things can get tough.

We may not have all the answers, but we might be able to help you work things out, or point you in the right direction.
