School Performance including Ofsted

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. Ofsted regulate and inspect schools and colleges to seek improvement in the service. They carry out large number of inspections and regulatory visits in England and publish their finding on their website.

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are delighted to inform you that Laurel Avenue Community Primary School has retained its ‘good’ judgement by Ofsted in our latest inspection, February 2024.

There’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes to maintain this ‘good’ judgement, and we’re thrilled that the hard work of our staff has been recognised. I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating everyone who works and volunteers at our school.

We were particularly thrilled with achieving an ‘outstanding’ judgement for personal development.

You can access the report in full by clicking the link below.

All schools receive points of action as a result of an Ofsted inspection. We are already reviewing the feedback we received in depth, most of which was already a priority in our School Improvement Plan, as identified in the Ofsted report.

Thank you once again for all the support you continue to give the school.

Best wishes,

Gaynor Davison

Headteacher
